Connecticut Lottery Partners with IGT

Bingo! The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) has announced that it has clinched a long-term agreement with International Game Technology (IGT) in which it will launch a new digital offering in the Constitution State. As a result of the contract, IGT will provide the CLC with its ilottery system, allowing it to sell keno and draw-based lottery games.

International Game Technology (IGT) Will Build Entirely New Website for Connecticut Lottery

The stakes have just gotten higher: the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) has stepped out and revealed that it has recently signed a comprehensive long-term deal together with International Game Technology (IGT).

As a result of the eight-year contract, the two will work closely together in order to launch a fresh new digital product for customers in the Constitution State. This will be executed by IGT providing CLC with its ilottery system technology, thereby allowing it to sell keno and draw-based lottery games online and via mobile.

Furthermore, IGT will also build and design an entirely new website and app that will give players the ability to purchase keno, multi-state jackpot games and Connecticut draw-based lottery games, featuring popular titles such as Lotto!, Cash5, Play3 with Wild Ball and Play4 with Wild Ball.

The ilottery system also boasts a collection of customizable responsible gambling tools for players to make the most of. The contract between IGT and CLC is expected to last all the way until May 2031 and opens up the path for four years of possible extension routes. The ilottery gaming system currently has an expected launch date of fall 2023.

Today’s Lottery Player is In Need of Convenient and Modern Gaming Systems

Marking the occasion of International Game Technology’s (IGT) and the Connecticut Lottery Corporation’s lucrative new agreement was CLC president and chief executive Gregory Smith, who noted that today’s lottery player is constantly on the lookout for practical and new options to play their games through:

Meanwhile, for its own part, IGT senior vice president for global ilottery, Srini Nedunuri, boasted the company’s strong and renowned track record for providing top of the line lottery technology to lottery operators worldwide, while also revealing that the funds which will come as a result of it and the CLC’s partnership in Connecticut will be directed towards charitable causes:

IGT Extended Deal with Rhode Island Lottery in May 2023

In other International Game Technology (IGT) news, the gaming technology giant announced just recently in May 2023 it would be prolonging its engagement with the Rhode Island Lottery for an additional three years.

IGT’s sports betting division PlaySports, in close collaboration with its commercial partner William Hill US, will continue to support Rhode Island’s state-wide mobile sports betting product via the Sportsbook Rhode Island app. Physical sportsbook locations at Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort and Bally’s Tiverton Casino & Hotel will also step in here.

Mark Furcolo, Rhode Island Lottery director, noted that the Rhode Island Lottery was one of the nation’s first to offer sports betting, reminding onlookers that IGT had just made some notable upgrades to both its sports betting product and mobile app:

“As one of the first US lotteries to launch sports betting, Rhode Island Lottery is very pleased with the successful program we have built over the last five years, backed by IGT’s world-class technology and William Hill’s operator experience. Additionally, International Game Technology’s (IGT) president of sports betting Joe Asher mentioned how the Rhode Island Lottery was offering sports betting way back in 2018 – quite ahead of the current wave of legalized offerings:

Betfred and IGT Joined Forces in Nevada in February 2023

Moving westwards over to Nevada now, IGT deepened its presence in the US betting capital in February 2023 thanks to a brand-new sports betting partnership with Betfred. Betfred will now use IGT’s PlaySports technology to support both its mobile and retail sports betting products at the Mohegan Sun Sportsbook located within Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Bryan Bennett, chief operating officer (COO) of Betfred USA Sports, hailed IGT’s technological and regulatory experience as a blessing, placing it as a core driving factor behind them signing on with the technology supplier in the first place:
