Expect to see more of International Game Technology (IGT) presence if you’re in Nevada, thanks to a brand-new sports betting partnership between the major lottery operator and sports betting provider Betfred.
As a result of the multi-year agreement, Betfred will be making use of IGT’s PlaySports technology to power both its mobile and retail sports betting offerings which are currently situated at the Mohegan Sun Sportsbook inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
As of writing, Betfred plans to begin with launching its retail betting solution first. Fans of mobile betting – worry not. IGT Was Named Lottery Supplier of the Year in August 2022

IGT Prolonged its Contract with Rhode Island Lottery by 20 Years in March 2022
All the way back in March 2021, International Game Technology (IGT) announced that it would be extending its contract with the Rhode Island Lottery by 20 years, remaining the state lottery’s exclusive supplier in the process.
IGT’s Global Solutions Corporation subsidiary is specifically the one active in Rhode Island, and will therefore keep providing its solutions and services over the duration of the deal – all while maintaining 1,100 jobs in the state in the process.
Jay Gendron marked the occasion by reminding observers that the Rhode Island Lottery was, as a matter of fact, IGT’s very first customer:
