eCOGRA Has Been Greenlit for Arizona and Indiana Audits
The eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance, also known as eCOGRA, has been granted approvals in two jurisdictions in the US. The company, based in the UK, is an expert in providing iGaming certification services and compliance audits for gaming providers and associated vendors.

More than 40 states in the US now have some form of legal gaming, whether it be retail casinos, sportsbooks, online sports betting, or iGaming (also known as online casinos). In those jurisdictions, regulators have varying requirements for the professional licensure of gaming companies and vendors.
eCOGRA has a roster of services that provide certification for gaming companies and companies that provide services to them, which is typically required in states that regulate that activity.
More than 35 states have now legalized online sports betting or a combination of online/retail sportsbooks since the US Supreme Court made a landmark ruling in 2018 that cleared the way for them to consider such action.
In contrast, only seven states have active online casinos in America, and that industry is viewed as a growth market for gaming companies. States have been more deliberate in legalizing online casinos, which allow mobile apps to provide slots, roulette, and other games to consumers via their cell phones.
With eCOGRA now in the Arizona and Indiana iGaming markets, it has a foot up on competitors inside and outside the US A handful of states, including Florida and Illinois, as well as New York, have been debating the issue of online casinos.

With the nod from regulators in both Arizona and Indiana, eCOGRA is the first international organization of its kind to receive approval in the United States. The approvals were granted under these terms:
- Arizona: Event Wagering Ancillary Supplier
- Indiana: Gaming Vendor License Approval
eCOGRA Solidifies Global Presence with Strategic US Expansion
As the first non-American test lab authorized to provide testing, inspection, and certification services in the United States, eCOGRA continues to solidify its position as a global leader in gaming compliance.
The organization works with prominent online operators and gaming-related companies with a strong US market presence, including bet365, Betway, and Sportradar.
Earlier in 2024, eCOGRA reached a pivotal milestone in its US expansion by opening a new office in Denver. Concurrently, the company bolstered its compliance leadership by appointing Daniel Remmes, formerly of IGT PlaySports and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, as its Director of Compliance for the US markets.
Beyond its growth in the United States, the organization achieved significant advancements in South America. In February 2024, it was authorized as a Certification Laboratory in Peru, and a few months later, eCOGRA secured a license to deliver its iGaming services in Brazil.
