Every month since Rhode Island online casinos launched in March, the state has seen a revenue increase, with August coming in at $2,967,889. That represents the largest month-over-month increase, at 14.21%, following an 11.28% spurt in July. Following a slow in growth in the early summer (3.52% in June), the state has seen the popularity of online casinos soar the last two months through August.
The growth of Rhode Island online casinos is fueled by customers playing slots: in August there was a 19% increase from that category, based on $2,128,252. This is the first time online slots have topped $2 million in the Ocean State.
