Regan Gascoigne Maintains His Status as Dancing on Ice Favorite
Regan Gascoigne remains the favorite for Dancing on Ice 2022, but the latest odds suggest he cannot place a hand on the winner’s trophy just yet. On Sunday evening the 26-year-old professional dancer scored a maximum 40-points. However, Brendan Cole and Kimberley Wyatt also recorded perfect scores.

The latest Dancing on Ice betting sees Gascoigne trading at 5/4. His odds have hovered around this price since he made his debut in the show on January 24. However, support for Cole and Wyatt has snowballed in recent weeks and they are both now fluctuating between 5/2 and 11/4.
Two More Contestants Face the Chop on Sunday
Five celebrities remain in the show, but two of the remaining candidates have been dismissed by the bookmakers. The Vamps bassist and singer, Conor Ball is top-priced 14/1 with the best online betting sites. BMX racer and Olympic silver medalist Kye Whyte is 66/1.
Last weekend, Paralympic athlete Stef Reid exited the show at the quarter-final stage. Resultantly, two contestants will be eliminated this coming Sunday. The final, scheduled to take place on March 20th, will then feature its traditional three skaters.
45-year-old Brendan Cole was the early betting favorite. At one stage he had drifted out to 6/1, but he has been the subject of sustained support over the past fortnight. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional is now shorter in the betting than he has ever been.
Wyatt Is Best on Form but the Stats Are Against Her
When the betting opened Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt was 10/1. With a cumulative 254.5 points, the American is the highest scoring skater in the series. Remarkably she has been the top or joint top points scorer on five of the seven nights she has skated.
Unquestionably, this form in a horse race would make her an overwhelming favorite. Nevertheless, William Hill sportsbook is currently quoting 11/4 about the 40-year-old.
The price suggests the bookmaker’s odds compilers have studied the list of previous winners. It is something that does not bode well for female contestants. Of the 13 previous series of Dancing on Ice, only four have been won by a female contestant. Beth Tweddle was the last female winner. Her success came in 2013.
There is no strong statistic that diminishes Regan Gascoigne’s chances of victory. But his stagnant price could be described as a concern by astute seasoned gamblers. Theoretically, a favorite should shorten in price as rivals fall by the wayside.
