US Integrity Will Also Promote AGA’s Campaign to Regulated Sportsbook Operators

The gospel of safer gambling awareness is about to enjoy a significant boost thanks to the recent news that sports betting integrity monitoring service US Integrity has revealed that it is standing behind the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) ‘Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly’ public service awareness campaign.

As a result of the announcement, US Integrity will now champion the initiative to its broad client base of professional and collegiate sports properties, along with regulated sportsbook operators across the United States of America and Canada.

First kicked off in 2019, the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) Have A Game Plan campaign strives to bring together major actors in the sports betting realm around a collective consumer education platform, which is centered on the four core tenets of responsible wagering. These underlying principles include the likes of establishing a budget and sticking to it, making sure that your betting activity is a social event, remaining aware of the odds at play and, naturally, only playing with licensed and legal operators.

US Integrity Joins a Long List of Operators Who Are Already Behind AGA’s Awareness Campaign

Speaking on the matter was US Integrity president and founder Matthew Holt, who placed the AGA’s emphasis on safer gambling awareness fully in line with the integrity monitor’s long-term goals and values:

“Responsible gaming education goes hand in hand with our mission to protect consumers and competitions. We look forward to teaming up with the AGA and Have A Game Plan partners across the sports and gaming ecosystem to help advance this important cause.”Matthew Holt, President and Founder, US Integrity, Press Release

Meanwhile, American Gaming Association (AGA) senior vice president Casey Clark emphasized the value of broadening the message and support behind something like the ‘Have A Game Plan’ campaign:

“Protecting customers and competition integrity is core to the success of a sustainable legal marketplace. From leagues and teams to sportsbooks and tech companies like US Integrity, we’re proud that the broader sports betting ecosystem continues to unite behind Have A Game Plan as we collectively work to advance responsibility in sports betting nationwide.”Casey Clark, Senior Vice President, American Gaming Association (AGA),Press Release

American Gaming Association (AGA) Predicted Record Super Bowl Betting in February 2023

In other recent American Gaming Association (AGA) news, the organization predicted in February 2023 that a record 50.4 million Americans were expected to put down wagers worth up to a whopping $16 billion on the Super Bowl LVII, which took place on February 12th, 2023.

According to the AGA’s precise survey, as many as 20% of American adults were likely to place at least one bet on the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. This stands as a notable 61% increase on the last all-time high record, which was established as recently as last year in 2022.

American Gaming Association (AGA) president and chief executive Bill Miller illuminated that the Super Bowl is always a good way to take the temperature of sports betting in the United States, while still expressing an optimistic view of regulated sports betting moving forward:

“Every year, the Super Bowl serves to highlight the benefits of legal sports betting: bettors are transitioning to the protections of the regulated market, leagues and sports media are seeing increased engagement, and legal operators are driving needed tax revenue to states across the country. As interest in legal sports betting continues to expand, the gaming industry remains committed to responsibly delivering world class entertainment, educating consumers about how to bet responsibly, and combating illegal gambling as we work to build a safe, competitive and sustainable legal market for all.”Bill Miller, President and Chief Executive, American Gaming Association (AGA),Press Release

National Basketball Association (NBA) Joined AGA’s Campaign in February 2023

One of the more recognizable named brands which recently elected to support the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) ‘Have A Game Plan’ safer gambling awareness campaign was none other than the National Basketball Association (NBA), which announced its support in February 2023.

The NBA and the AGA now work closely together to educate basketball fans about the virtues of responsible and safer gambling. It’s worth noting that the NBA already has some of its own methods for promoting responsible gambling, such as public service announcements aired during its games, and limitations on sports betting adverts.

Sharing a statement was NBA senior vice president and head of gaming and new business ventures, Scott Kaufman-Ross, who put the cause of safer gambling firmly in line with the National Basketball Association’s fundamental values:

“Responsible gaming is an integral component of the NBA’s approach to legal sports betting. Working with the AGA on this initiative is an important part of our multifaceted approach to this critical topic and will provide our teams with tools to make a true impact on responsible gaming education in NBA markets across the US and Canada.”
