Pink October Gets SOFTSWISS Backing

SOFTSWISS is aiming to raise awareness of breast cancer by backing Pink October. With this time of year being termed Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pink October campaign has become one of the most popular of its type around the world.

SOFTSWISS, a leading iGaming solutions provider, has now lent its backing to the cause.

The company announced in a statement that its Pink October campaign is A Minute Today, a Future Ahead. The company will be reminding its staff of the importance of early detection and preventative care, with around half of its 2,000 employees being female.

Those staff members who pay for ultrasounds and mammograms during October and November will be given a refund for the procedures by SOFTSWISS.

Breast cancer is, by some distance, the most common cancer that affects women. Research has shown that early diagnosis of the disease is key, with the five-year relative survival rate standing at 99% when breast cancer is caught at an early stage.

Self-Care

SOFTSWISS also partnered up with the Pink October initiative last year, so 2024 continues the company’s links to the programme.

Valentina Bagniya, the chief marketing officer for SOFTSWISS, described health as a “crucial value beyond everything”.

In a statement released to announce the firm’s links with Pink October, she added:

“Here, at SOFTSWISS, we aim to help and support our employees’ well-being and health every day. By promoting the Pink October initiative, we want to stress the importance of well-timed self-care and make this issue visible both within the iGaming industry and beyond.”

SOFTSWISS was given a top prize at the SBC Awards recently, with the company being named Employer of the Year thanks to initiatives such as the Pink October backing.

The company also got the Great Place To Work certification in Poland earlier in the year, while there was further praise for SOFTSWISS’ Values Fest, which took place in Turkey in 2023.

Butterfly Support Mission Links

As part of the support for Pink October at SOFTSWISS, women from the company are set to take part in a themed race.

The aim of that will be to support the international charity movement Butterfly Support Mission. An online webinar on mental health will also be run by SOFTSWISS for the Pink October campaign to offer insights for those who are facing a diagnosis of the disease.

Monthly self-exams and booking regular clinical breast exams and mammograms are among the steps that are recommended to try to catch cancer early. According to Cancer Research in the UK, there are around 56,800 new breast cancer cases diagnosed yearly.
