Lottery Funding for MH Charity and Mental Health Workshops
A lottery grant has been awarded to a mental health charity in Northern Ireland.

Mental health workshops will be set up by the Just A Chat charity as a result of the boost.
Just A Chat already runs wellness sessions for locals, and it has set up a men’s football team and other support.
The Northern Ireland charity will now be able to expand its operations having been granted an unconfirmed sum of money.
It has also been announced that the National Lottery Community Fund is contributing to investment of £3,551,950 that is being made to 25 network and anchor organisations through Dormant Assets funding.
Incredibly Grateful
Conor Hegarty, the Just A Chat chairman, said he was “incredibly grateful” for the funding boost from the National Lottery.
He said: “This funding allows us to make a real difference in the lives of many by providing accessible mental health workshops that address various challenges and foster resilience within our community.”
“In light of recent tragedies we feel now is the time to start making significant changes in how we deal with Mental Health in our community.”

Just A Chat has launched its own mental health app on iOS and Android which gives users free 24/7 access to crisis and support services at the touch of a button.

The Just A Chat project also has the support of ABC Lord Mayor Sarah Duffy.

Workshops run by Just A Chat will be provided free of charge thanks to the new funding that has been provided to the charity by the lottery system.
