GAN to Also Provide Backup Through its Content Aggregation Delivery System

The still active and somewhat prominent sportsbook and casino provider WynnBet has revealed that it has chosen GAN Sports technology to put the power behind its online sportsbook operations in future market launches across the United States.

The exclusive national partnership will make its much anticipated debut coincide with the retail launch of the WynnBet Sportsbook at Encore Boston Harbor in Massachusetts, which is currently scheduled for early 2023.

GAN and WynnBet already boast an existing relationship together, which they will bolster by having GAN provide support via its Super RGS content aggregation delivery system. The feature will be used in all future states in which WynnBet elects to operate online. As of writing, WynnBet is currently up and running in states such as Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee and Virginia, with several tentative license applications in the pipeline.

The lucrative deal with WynnBet is GAN Sports’ third. Its first-ever partnership was signed with Island View Casino in Gulfport, Mississippi back in September 2022. For a little background for the uninitiated – GAN Sports is a sportsbook technology platform built on the Coolbet technology and has been specifically catered towards the US B2B market.

Announcement Builds Upon WynnBet’s and GAN’s Existing Relationship

Speaking on occasion of the announcement that WynnBet and GAN are broadening their existing partnership, Rob Lekites, vice-president of North American sports for GAN, expressed optimism that the deal would enable growth in both camps:

“The combination of GAN’s cutting-edge sportsbook technology with WynnBet’s highly experienced and successful leadership team, provides tremendous growth opportunities for both of our organizations.”Rob Leiktes, Vice President of North American Sports, GAN Sports, Press Release

Lekites went on to highlight the two’s long-running partnership, believing that GAN Sports has already received a warm reception in the industry and will continue to moving forward:

“This announcement builds upon our strong partnership with WynnBet in the state of Michigan and further validates our capabilities to provide a highly differentiated and flexible sportsbook as well as bolsters our position as one of the top suppliers in the US iGaming space. The reception of GAN Sports remains highly encouraging as we look to carry this positive momentum into a strong cadence of new partner launches over the coming quarters.”

Meanwhile, for its part, Ian Williams, president of Wynn Interactive, provided a brief statement claiming that the operator was happy to be investing in its relationship with GAN:

“We look forward to growing our partnership with GAN and bringing an enhanced sports betting experience to our players.”Ian Williams, President, Wynn Interactive, Press Release

GAN Made US Sports Betting Debut in October 2022

GAN Sports burst onto the United States’ buzzing sports betting scene just recently in October 2022, after it launched its sports betting product at the Island View Casino in the Southern state of Mississippi, providing players with the opportunity to bet at 20 physical internet-connected kiosks.

As for the technology behind the offering, GAN’s GameSTACK Player Account Management (PAM) system for omni-channel sports betting powers the operator’s mobile sportsbook product. It is run on both retail kiosks and mobile devices on location at the casino.

And while speaking of GAN, it is also worth noting that the sports betting technology supplier acquired Vincent Group, the parent company of operator Coolbet, for a notable $175.9 million in January 2021.

The company’s chief executive and president Dermot Smurfit boasted that the GAN Sports product will be sure to wow sports betting fans and that he was pleased with its achievements thus far:

“Following our 2021 acquisition of Coolbet we are thrilled to announce the premiere of GAN Sports, perhaps the most innovative sports experience available on-property anywhere in the US today. We are greatly encouraged by the sales momentum for our omnichannel sports betting technology and managed trading services solution and anticipate a high-margin financial contribution as the economics of B2B sports technology provision are highly favorable and incremental to our existing B2B offerings.”Dermot Smurfit, Chief Executive and President, GAN Sports, Press Release
