SBC Summit Rio Expects 15,000 Attendees to Join the Event
The SBC Summit Rio has confirmed all Brazilian licensed operators will be present, with a massive increase in attendees forecast for the event.

In the region of 15,000 attendees are expected to join the SBC Summit Rio in 2025, which would be up by 275% on the previous year’s figures.
Taking place at Latin America’s biggest exhibition space, Riocentro, the event is scheduled to run from February 25 to 27. SBC Summit Rio includes a pair of side summits: the ‘Affiliate Leaders Summit’ and the ‘Payment Expert Summit’.
Furthermore, Brazil’s Ministry of Finance recently approved 68 gambling licence applications, with the regulated gambling market in Brazil having been formally launched on January 1 2025.
Talk Of The Industry
Brazil opening the door to regulated sports betting and gambling means it is one of the hottest markets in the world for the industry at the moment.
This helps to explain the spike in interest in this year’s SBC Summit Rio, according to the chief executive and founder of SBC, Rasmus Sojmark.
He said: “With this being the first event in the country since regulation, we’ve built the agenda to offer real, practical insights—whether you’re looking to enter the market or have already taken your first steps.”
“The goal is to help everyone make the most of the opportunities while staying fully compliant with the regulations.”
Big names from the industry have been confirmed to attend SBC Summit Rio, with the likes of Evolution, Wazdan and Pragmatic Play all in attendance.
The conference will then end with INFINITY RIO at the Riocentro Amphitheatre, with the EDM star Afrojack and DubDogz booked to perform.
Sojmark added: “We wanted to end the event with a huge party to thank our attendees for being part of it and to create the perfect transition as Carnival kicks off right after. It’s going to be an epic night, and we can’t wait to welcome you all!”
Bebeto Leads Keynote Speakers
Keynote speakers booked to appear at SBC Summit Rio include Carolina Yumi, who is the deputy secretary of prizes and betting at the Ministry of Finance.
Senator Irajá Abreu of Tocantins will also speak at the SBC Summit Rio event.
But perhaps the star draw will be the Brazilian footballing icon Bebeto, who starred in his country’s triumphs at the Copa América in 1989 and the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
Bebeto moved into politics after his retirement and was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro, representing the Democratic Labour Party.
Other speakers include Galera.bet chief executive Marcos Sabia, Alfa Entertainment chief executive Arthur Silva and EstrelaBet’s chief business officer Fellipe Fraga.
