The company was founded in 2015 and is based in Sliema, Malta. It has a global presence with offices across Europe, Asia, and South America. Pragmatic Play has developed over 200 games so far, including slots, live dealers, casual games, lotteries, and card games. Some of the most popular games developed by Pragmatic Play are Wolf Gold, John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen, The Dog House, Sweet Bonanza, Fruit Party, and Super Hot. It also offers classic table games such as poker, blackjack, roulette, and baccarat.

There are several gambling operators around the world looking for ideal software and other tech providers in the field of iGaming. Superbet Romania is one of them, which is why it has decided to extend its partnership with Pragmatic Play. The company is among the leading gambling operators across Central and Eastern Europe. It operates a betting chain in Romania and Poland, with over 1000 betting shops across the two countries. In Romania, the operator also offers an online casino platform on which users have an option of around 30 live games created by Pragmatic Play. The company also offers live sports betting in Romania. Superbet also sponsors the Romanian Chess Federation and hosts the Superbet Chess Classic Romania, which is part of the Grand Chess Tour. Earlier this month, Superbet acquired prominent online operators Napoleon Sports & Casino and Lucky Days. The expansion of its partnership with Pragmatic Play comes on the back of these acquisitions.

The partnership between Pragmatic Play and Superbet Romania has been in place since 2020. Pragmatic Play entered the Romanian market for the first time by signing a partnership agreement with Superbet. On July 28, 2023, Pragmatic Play released an announcement stating that the iGaming developer had expanded its partnership with the Romanian operator. As a result, Pragmatic Play will be able to offer its Live Casino content to more players in the regulated Romanian jurisdiction. This expansion aims to offer a greater range of gaming options to the Romanian audience and strengthen Pragmatic Play’s position in the market. Through this enhanced deal, Superbet will gain access to Pragmatic Play’s complete portfolio of Live Casino content, including popular gameshow products such as Sweet Bonanza CandyLand and Snakes & Ladders Live. Pragmatic Play will also provide roulette with customizable branding, plus three blackjack tables. These are in addition to the supplier’s slot and bingo products, which are already live with the operator. The partnership will also see the launch of custom-branded Roulette and Blackjack tables tailor-made, especially for Superbet and its players to enjoy. Pragmatic Play has made similar agreements recently with Apuestas Royal in Latin America and Peppermill Casino in Belgium. This signals that the iGaming developer continues to strengthen its position in markets across the world.

Nicholas Yu, Head of Gaming and Live Casino at Superbet, was excited to offer Pragmatic Play’s games on their platform.

“Pragmatic Play is one of the most well-known providers out there, so we’re excited to be going live with even more of its incredible games. Our players always come back to Pragmatic Play releases due to their replayability and engaging gameplay, so we hope to see similar results as a result of this expanded partnership.”
