Four Partnership Deals in Three Months Help NetBet Expand in Italy
Renowned online gambling operator NetBet has recently announced a partnership with iGaming content provider Red Tiger in Italy. This is NetBet’s fourth collaboration in Italy in a period of three months. Earlier, the Malta-based operator established strategic partnerships with Hacksaw Gaming, ELK Studios, and Blueprint Gaming, gaining access to multiple titles for its online casino. As NetBet aims to increase the pace of its growth and expansion in regulated European gambling markets, the recent deals have provided a substantial boost to the operator.
NetBet is a popular iGaming and online sports betting platform that was established in 2001. Since then, the operator has gained popularity in the industry by entering various regulated gambling jurisdictions, winning prestigious awards, and striking strategic partnership deals with services and solutions providers. NetBet brings a wide array of services to the table for its players. The operator offers an extensive sportsbook with a wide range of sports and markets one can bet on. It also has an online casino comprising numerous casino games such as slot machines, table games, and live casino games. Players can also have a taste of various poker games and Bingo. In an effort to retain existing customers while simultaneously aiming to attract new players, NetBet provides a host of promotions, including welcome bonuses, refunds, and bet insurance deals. In a world where players need an easy-to-use interface that accepts multiple payment methods, the Malta-based operator delivers the same. Several players have praised the operator’s user-friendly interface, which has cutting-edge features and an exhaustive loyalty reward scheme.
Establishing a good reputation with customers has boosted the credibility of NetBet during a period in which the operator is aiming to increase the pace of its growth across the European continent. NetBet is known to offer some of the highest betting limitations in the global gambling industry and provides above-average rates of payout. The operator has secured multiple licenses and is currently active in more than 12 regulated gambling jurisdictions, including the competitive markets of Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Sweden, and more. Since NetBet is also licensed by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC), it is eligible to offer its collection to players in the UK. The operator is also present in Italy, where it has recently expanded its presence by striking two partnership deals in the space of three months. After tying up with Hacksaw Gaming in October this year, NetBet struck similar deals with Blueprint Media and ELK Studios in November. Courtesy of both deals, the Malta-based operator added titles like Book of Toro, D10S Maradona, Eye of Horus, Fishin’ Frenzy, King Kong Cash, Pirots, The Goonies, Ted, Tropicool 2, and more.
Hacksaw Gaming will provide NetBet with popular titles like Hand of Anubis, Joker Bombs, Wanted Dead or Wild, and more. Meanwhile, Red Tiger will add Dynamite Riches Megaways, Piggy Riches Megaways, Gonzo’s Quest Megaways, and more. Online Casino games developer Red Tiger comes from a team of experts with long experience in this field who established this company only four years ago. This is evidenced by the fact that the company has become the leading vendor for this market segment within a very short period, with a portfolio of successful original video slots and a flexible operator’s tool kit, ensuring impressive profitability and high retention potential. These games are designed in HTML 5 and provide faultless performance on all devices. Red Tiger’s products are subject to stringent industry standards, holding licenses issued by regulatory bodies of Gibraltar, Malta, and the UK. The operator has offices in Malta, the Isle of Man, as well as Bulgaria. In 2019, NetEnt made a cash acquisition of Red Tiger, one of the biggest and most pioneering online gaming companies, with a price tag of £220 million. Since then, the operator has collected a number of awards, including Casino Product of the Year at the 2021 Global Gaming Award in London for Gonzo’s Quest Megaways.
Claudia Georgevici, the PR Manager of NetBet in Italy, was pleased after the company struck another promising deal in the jurisdiction.
“We are delighted to partner with Red Tiger and bring their exceptional Megaways games to our Italian players. We are committed to offering our customers the best gaming experience possible, and this collaboration allows us to continue delivering on that promise.”
NetBet Secured Entry into The North American Market
While the European expansion of NetBet is in full swing, it will soon start focusing on its growth in the North American and Latin American markets. Last year, in December, the Malta-based operator secured entry into the regulated market of Ontario in Canada. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) announced the issuance of multiple online gambling licenses for private iGaming operators. Among them were Delta iGaming INC, Eclipse Entertainment, Limited, and Ligtip Limited.
In addition to that, gambling permits were issued to NetBet, Ngame, and Rootz. This is the only license the Malta-based operator holds in the North American region. The brand has yet to enter the regulated gambling provinces of the United States. However, the growth and expansion in Europe are helping NetBet generate decent revenue with steadily increasing profits. In the near future, the North American and Latin American markets, along with Asian markets, will be on the radar for NetBet.
Competitive Italian Market Will Be Challenging for NetBet
The Italian gambling market is one of the most competitive markets in Europe and houses many popular brands that constantly pull players to their platforms, leaving a very small group of players for the lower-tier operators. The credibility and reputation of the giant operators help them increase their customer base as players know that the platform they are gambling on belongs to a renowned and trustworthy brand. Smaller brands have to be patient and prove their mettle in the market to gain customers. One such top-tier brand is Italy’s own Lottomatica. The local operator is Italy’s biggest iGaming and sports betting omnichannel operator and the most famous online gambling hub for Italian players.
However, even the top-tier brands have to keep up-to-date and match the standards and offers of modern-day gambling. Lottomatica generated a cumulative Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of €2.8 billion in the first nine months of 2023, marking a 12 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase. Shortly after reporting the surge, the operator was listed on the Italian Stock Exchange and announced the acquisition of SKS365. The takeover should be completed in H1 2024. Constantly strengthening its presence in Italy, Lottomatica is one of many top-tier operators that could impact the customer acquisition of many other operators, including NetBet.
