EveryMatrix Expansion Continues After Securing a Supplier License in The Isle of Man
Renowned B2B iGaming software provider, EveryMatrix, has expanded its operation in Europe after securing another supplier license on the continent. Founded in England with its current headquarters in Malta, the iGaming solutions provider gained a B2B supplier license from the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) as it entered its 27th new gambling jurisdiction in the world. The B2B licenses will enable EveryMatrix to provide several iGaming solutions to licensed operators in the Isle of Man. The provider offers a variety of software ranging from sportsbook solutions and online casino platforms to payment methods and remote gaming servers.
The gambling market of the Isle of Man is one of the world’s oldest and most active, competitive, and respected markets. The process of the legalization of all online gambling segments was completed in 2001 when the self-governing British Crown Dependency approved the Online Gambling Regulation Act (OGRA). Sandwiched between two of the world’s biggest iGaming jurisdictions, Ireland and the United Kingdom, the gambling market of the Isle of Man is quite competitive with a favourable tax regime in place. The GSC is the jurisdiction’s official and sole regulatory and supervisory authority and was established in 1962. It monitors the online gambling markets and concentrates on land-based operations as well. One of the many responsibilities of the GSC is to issue gambling permits to gambling operators who maintain a good reputation in the global gambling market. Apart from the usual B2C licenses, the regulator has also been issuing B2B supplier licenses to iGaming solution providers for almost four years. This move has helped several operators improve their offerings and services in the jurisdiction.
The decision to introduce a supplier license was approved in 2019 when the GSC officially launched the Software Supplier License in the state. The primary reason behind the introduction was to streamline the business gambling application process and to help several licensed operators upgrade to better technology. The move was well-timed, allowing several iGaming solution providers to enter the market a year before the Covid-19 pandemic hit and shut down all land-based operations. During the lockdowns, iGaming was the only option for gamblers in the Isle of Man. The consumers opted for online casino games on platforms that had been upgraded, thanks to the licensed software suppliers. The GSC issues voluntary B2B licenses under the guidelines specified in OGRA. These guidelines ensure that the Isle of Man gambling market maintains the highest standards for player safety whilst keeping illegal operators at bay. Apart from maintaining a credible profile in the global gambling market, operators and providers must meet the basic criteria to obtain a gambling license in the state.
There are three primary prerequisites for every iGaming operator and provider that is seeking a gambling permit in the Isle of Man. First, the operator or provider must be incorporated in the GSC’s jurisdiction. Second, the operator or provider must have at least two resident directors, and finally, an operations manager or any designated official must be a resident of the Crown Dependency. Once these criteria are met, the license application will be considered, and after a credibility check, the GSC can grant the permit. One of the leading iGaming software provider companies, EveryMatrix, has become the latest entity to obtain a B2B supplier license from the GSC. The Malta-based provider is one of the most reputed iGaming companies in the world and is already present in 26 regulated gambling jurisdictions worldwide. It has applied for supplier licenses in more jurisdictions and is expected to enter more markets this year. The inclusion of EveryMatrix in the licensed providers’ list in the Isle of Man has increased competition in the B2B segment as several operators might turn to the Maltese company for software solutions.
The CEO of EveryMatrix, Ebbe Groes, conveyed his satisfaction after entering another regulated European gambling jurisdiction.
“The Isle of Man is one of iGaming’s most reputable licensing regimes and we are pleased to have been granted a software license to further accelerate our expansion into new territories. EveryMatrix is experiencing record growth across all our core areas of casino, sports and platform and securing licenses in both established and emerging regulated jurisdictions is a key part of our future growth plans.”
