Codere Cup Crowns Winners in Mexico
The “Codere International Cup 2023” had concluded, crowning its winners from Mexico. The Codere Cup is a funny pastime created by the gaming company Codere, which is now in its second year. The widely enjoyed activity is an organized soccer tournament which sees participation from teams all over Codere’s various territories of operation.
Codere Online staff participated in a tournament at the iconic stadium of Real Madrid this month.

Star treatment in Madrid for Codere Online’s team members
Now in its second year, the Codere Cup took place at the Real Madrid stadium, creating a spectacular chance for players from Codere’s various teams to come together and play soccer at an iconic stadium. The final of the cup took place on December 2.
This amateur tournament included 500 players over 64 teams. The final showdown took place between the teams from Mexico and Spain. Mexico’s team was called the “Ghostbusters,” while the Spanish players opted for the name, “La Vinotinto.” The “Ghostbusters” won 3-1 in an exciting finish.
Codere Online, a multifaceted and international gambling company with a headquarters in Spain, has put together this tournament to cheer on its staff around the world. They pull out all of the stops with the event each year, from the prime stadium location for the final to have commentators present.
Jero Freixas, a popular content creator, was there again this year to cheer on the teams and present to the audience. He also communicated about the event by making content around it for his extensive channels.
The participants and winners received another special treat in the form of Roberto Carlos, a legend of the Real Madrid team. Carlos was present to give the trophy to the winning team and celebrate alongside them at the end of the tournament.
Before this international tournament existed, Codere had already backed several local versions for five years. It has been a popular pastime since so many Codere team members are also fans of playing sports themselves. Putting the game together in this fashion has brought together energy from Codere’s many points of operation.
CMO Alberto Telias spoke on behalf of Codere on the occasion of the tournament. Telias said that the tournament exemplifies Codere’s values, particularly its passion for sport. It is also a good example of how Codere works to create special experiences for fans via its sponsorship deals. This time, its employees got to experience the star treatment.
Another Codere team member, Carlos Sabanza, agreed that getting to play on the Real Madrid field is probably the highlight for any of those who participated. This was an unforgettable experience for those involved and one that is unlikely to be matched — until next year, that is.
Players in the final teams also received in-depth tours of the stadium, and were able to watch a Real Madrid-Granada match, though this took place at Nuevo Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. It has not yet been revealed where next year’s tournament will take place and if the perks will be similar, but knowing Codere, it is bound to be another surprising and thrilling event for its staff.
