PlayOJO Creates New Multi-Platform Advertising Campaign With Motel

Leading online casino PlayOJO has launched its latest advertising campaign.

PlayOJO enlisted advertising agency Motel to create the campaign, which will first be seen in the UK before rolling out to more markets next year. The online casino plans to use the multi-channel campaign in the following key countries:

  • Canada
  • Peru
  • Spain
  • Ireland

Sounds like PlayOJO Time is the name of the new campaign, which plays on the operator’s jingle.

In the adverts, listeners will hear the PlayOJO jingle in a number of unexpected ways, such as in the ping of a microwave that signals it has finished.

Airport intercoms and car alarms are also among those featured in the new spots being used to promote the PlayOJO online casino around the world.

Distinctive Creative Style

Global CMO for PlayOJO Peter Bennett explained the aim of the new Motel campaign for the online casino brand.

“We really like how Motel took one of our strongest and most distinctive brand assets and built on that to create a uniquely fun and impactful new creative platform. We love how the new campaign reflects PlayOJO’s distinctive creative style and reinforces the brand’s positioning. Now the PlayOJO sonic can come from anywhere – a microwave, an airport intercom, a referee’s whistle – the fun can start literally anywhere, anytime.”Peter Bennett, CMO for PlayOJO

When the PlayOJO jingle plays in the adverts, it kicks off a transformed environment that involves some inanimate objects coming to life.

Dancing Cheese Plant

PlayOJO, which is operated by the Malta-based iGaming company SkillOnNet, secured the services of London’s Motel agency for the campaign.

It will feature a range of advertisements across the following areas:

  • Linear TV
  • BVOD
  • Digital
  • Social media channels

The ‘Feel the fun – PlayOJO’ sonic logo brings each of the new TV ads, Flat and Garage, which have been directed by Ross Cooper, to a conclusion.

Lee Tan, Motel’s Chief Creative Officer and co-founder, said:

“PlayOJO already had a vibrant brand with a well-known sonic device. We wanted to take their fame and memorability to the next level by making people think of PlayOJO when they have some down time. Of course, it helps to have a bouncing watermelon and a dancing cheese plant.”Lee Tan, Motel’s Chief Creative Officer

Sister sites of the UK-based online casino include EU Casino, PlayMillion, and SlotsMagic.

SkillOnNet also operates online casinos including LuckyNiki in Japan, DrückGlück in Germany, and AHTI Games, which is available in Portugal and Brazil.
