If the dealer’s first card is an ace or a card with a value of 10 (10, Jack, Queen, King), then they will ‘peek’. If they have blackjack, then the hand finishes there. This actually works in the player’s favour, as they cannot make any double down or split bets. The main difference between traditional blackjack and this variant is the side-betting option available.

Perfect Pairs

On both of the side bets, you can stake up to £100 per seat per hand. The aim in this bet is to get pairs dealt to you in your first two cards. A mixed coloured pair pays 5:1, those of the same colour pays 10:1, while a perfect pair (two identical cards in number and suit) pays 30:1.

21 + 3

This side bet turns this 21 game into a round of three card poker. Your two cards make a ‘hand’ together with the one dealer’s card that is showing. You can win with a flush, straight, three of a kind, straight flush, or suited three of a kind. The payouts range from 5:1 for a flush up to a 100:1 for a suited three of a kind. As with all side bets, the return to player rate (RTP) is quite a bit lower than the 99.59% of the main game, so I can only really recommend it as a bit of fun on the side, not a way to genuinely increase the payout.
