Sun Vegas Casino Review

Sun Vegas Casino:

Sun Vegas Casino is one of the Vegas Partner Lounge casinos, and with the group operating a number of Microgaming-powered properties, I was interested to see what the service and quality would be like of one of the ' big name ' players. I had actually played at Sun Vegas casino before, but that was when the casino first opened, so it was with a fresh pair of eyes that I revisited the casino 's website.

As with most online casinos, a player must visit the company 's website to access the required software. With regards to Sun Vegas Casino, I have to say the website is a definite plus with clear navigation, easy to read writing and the good use of graphics making it a pleasure to navigate through. Similarly, the website has a number of sections providing a prospective player with all the key information they are likely to need (banking, support, games preview etc.)

The actual download itself is a pretty weighty 7.5mb in size, which will take dial-up users some time to obtain. However as with a number of Microgaming properties, Sun Vegas do offer players a no-download flash version which means even dial-up players can be up and playing within a matter of minutes. Of course, for the best experience the casino has to offer it is always recommended you play on the download version.

Having downloaded and installed the required software, it was now time to play. However, it was at this point it occurred to me that as I had played before I should use my old username and password - details that I had forgotten. As such, with an actual real reason to contact support (unlike usually when I review casinos!) I decided to find out how to get in touch with the casino. Since it makes sense to comment on support at this point, I will!

I have to say that support at Sun Vegas Casino has been thoroughly thought out. Sun Vegas Casino offer telephone support, email support as well as live chat support. This really is great, meaning pretty much every support contact method has been utilized. Similarly, Sun Vegas have recognized the global attraction of online casinos and have provided toll-free telephone numbers for use in no less than 16 countries. This is excellent, and is actually one of the best support operations I have ever seen of an online casino. Even players in more unusual countries such as Korea can call up for support just as a player from the US, Canada or Europe can do. The help I received was also superb. I chose to use the live chat facility, and after only a few second wait I was connected to a representative who helped my obtain my log-on details.

Having been provided with the required details, I then proceeded to log-on to the casino - and being keen to gamble headed straight for the cashier. The account I hold is in US$, although players also have the option to create their account in UK Pounds, Euros and Canadian dollars as well - again, a sign that Sun Vegas is definitely aiming to attract players from around the globe.

The Sun Vegas cashier itself is simple to use, with a wide selection of deposit options available. From ' standard ' depositing options such as NETeller and credit cards to more unusual methods such as UseMyBank (a Canadian-only option), Sun Vegas have made it easy to deposit. With a $20 minimum purchase amount for most options it also means that you don't need to have loads of cash to play here!

I deposited $100 from my NETeller account which showed up instantly. As a person who had played before, I was not entitled to any sign-up bonus. However, Sun Vegas does offer a very tempting $60 for $40 promotion - this means that a simple $40 purchase becomes $100 of playing action. Of course, wagering requirements are imposed on the offer, but it is tempting nonetheless.

Other promotions are available to old customers as well, including a 15% NETeller deposit bonus. However, I declined this as I don't like having wagering conditions imposed for such as small bonus.

The games at Sun Vegas are presented in the usual Microgaming lobby format - different games are grouped by type (e.g. Slots, Table etc.). I have to say, that the range of games at Sun Vegas is also immense!

I started with some Blackjack play, but even making this decision at Sun Vegas can be complicated. From Atlantic City rules to European rules to Vegas Downtown rules - a player can find almost any variety of game they want. I settled on some European Blackjack as the lower number of decks in use makes this game attractive. Of course, the no-peek rule does make this game more risky, however.

Table game bet sizes at Sun Vegas are reasonable, ranging from $2 to $200 on most games. However, a High Limit version of Blackjack is available allowing high-rollers to play with $100 minimums and $2000 maximums - tempted though I was, these limits were a little out of my league! And so, I started making some $2 bets. Upon pressing deal I was instantly impressed with the game play at Sun Vegas. Excellent graphics and smooth game play make the game very lifelike. There's also a dealer voiceover to add further to the realism.

The game itself also seemed to play pretty fairly. Although I had a few losing hands to begin, I soon started winning a few, even after raising my bet to a higher $8 level. I do like getting a winning streak when the bets are high!

I actually came off the Blackjack table with a slightly higher bankroll than when I had started, so I was off to a good start. Sadly I didn't do as well at some of the other table games I played (Roulette and Let em' Ride), but I guess that's what gambling is about. I did however, still find the games extremely enjoyable; with Microgaming having clearly worked hard to ensure all the games available meet the same high standards of quality.

Although I was tempted to go back to Blackjack to try and recoup some of my losses, I knew I should check out some of the other games available, and so I headed to the Video Poker games. Again, the number of varieties of VP is tremendous - traditional games such as Jacks or Better and Deuces wild sit alongside bonus payout games and the ever-cool progressive Supajax game (jackpot $23,000 for a $5 bet at the time of writing!). Almost every game also has multi-hand varieties too, allowing players to bet on 4, 10 or even 50 hands at once. These multi-hand games are great when a win appears on the initial deal!

I really enjoyed my play on the Video Poker games. I was dealt 4-of-a-kind, albeit in a 50-hand game, but nevertheless it's nice to get these big hands once in a while. I also had fun trying to turn wins into huge payoffs with the double-up option available in Sun Vegas' VP games, but annoyingly the casino kept giving my high cards to try and beat!

Of course, it goes without saying that the high quality was again on show, with subtle sound effects adding to the excitement of the games. And as for graphics quality, I truly believe that what is on offer at Sun Vegas is much better than is found on many land-based Video Poker games!

My play was nearly over as my bankroll was down to around the $20 mark, so I headed over to check out some of the slots on offer. Again, every slot type possible is on offer at Sun Vegas - from classic 3-reel games to multi-line bonus slots with wild features. A player really can get immersed in whatever type of game they feel like playing. I had a little go at trying to win the multi-million dollar Major Million jackpot and had just as much fun playing on Couch Potato and the lively 5-reel Big Top game. Sadly, apart from a lot of fun I came away from the slots with just $2 left in my account, even though slots are playable with bets starting at just $0.01 - great for low-rollers!

However, with this $2 left I then made the most wonderful comeback. I stuck the whole $2 down on a Video Poker hand. After a bit of doubling up on wins I had $10. Next, I went back to Blackjack which had been kind to me from the start. A few $5 winning bets and I was up to $30. I then decided to keep making $10 bets and after a tremendous run of luck I ended up with $110! I bet there are not many people who can say they turned $2 in to $110!

So, after my miracle escape I had $110 sitting in my account, and although the profit was small, I had done enough sweating today and went to cash out. As with depositing, only a few clicks are required to request a cash-in, and after going through a reversible pending period, withdrawals are then processed. I have known of some players being asked for ID when cashing in at Vegas Partner Lounge casinos. However, I have never been asked and nor was I this time - about 48 hours after cashing in and the money withdrawn was showing back in my NETeller account. Not bad at all.

Usually, I talk now about support, but as I have already done so I 'll now conclude my Sun Vegas Review. I have to say that I was very impressed with what I experienced. A huge selection of very high-quality games makes this a superb casino to play at. Similarly, a faultless support function and good banking system simply add to making this good casino even better.

For players looking for a trustworthy online casino that offers all the bells and whistles online gaming has to offer, Sun Vegas Casino would definitely come near the top of my recommendation list.
