777 Dragon Casino:

In the world of online gambling, casino operators use a number of techniques to get players to sign up, including the use of themes. 777 Dragon Casino has done just that, and as themes go I think the oriental look and feel is pretty cool. It may be a personal thing, but when I realized I hadn't played or reviewed this website, I was genuinely looking forward to playing games with the dragon!

The games at this Microgaming-powered website can be played both via the download client and via a no-download Flash interface. However, the vast majority of games are only available on the download version and as such I would recommend players go for this option to get a true feel for this casino.

Downloading is made easy with the required files obtained by visiting the 777 Dragon website. The website itself is very easy to navigate and as this casino is one of the Vegas Partner Lounge properties, the operators know well what information they should put on the website. As such, important information on banking, support and promotions is all easily accessible. Similarly, I was able to download the 5.96mb installation file without issue. And for those that hate downloading, simply order the free CD off the website - nice touch 777!

As you would expect with software from the leading online casino developer, the 777 Dragon Casino installed without any issues and within a few minutes I was presented with the log-on screen. Of course, before I could log-in I had to create a new account, but this is achieved by completing a simple form. I created a US $ account, although 777 have recognized the global appeal of casinos by allowing patrons to create accounts in UK £, Euros and Canadian Dollars.

With my new account now created, I logged in to the lobby and could see that the casino's oriental theme was again used to add to the appeal of the casino. Of course, the huge array of games was also a great appeal but I had to visit the cashier before I could experience any of the games 777 had to offer. The cashier itself is easy to use and I deposited $100 via NETeller, although a huge number of other real world and e-wallet options are available - making depositing very easy.

To entice new players to make this all-important initial deposit, 777 Dragon offer all new players a sign-up bonus of 200%. This is huge, and means that players depositing $25 will receive a maximum $50 free. I think this is a pretty clever sign-up bonus as it means that players get a decent amount of play for what is really a very small deposit. Of course, there are wagering conditions attached to this, but I really do think this is a cool way to test out the casino.

Of course, loyalty appreciation is also important when it comes to choosing casinos and I was impressed to see from the promotions page of the website that a player can receive 10% cash back on all losses up to $10,000 each and every month! On top of a cash-back loyalty scheme it became clear to me that 777 Dragon wanted new players to hang around!

Although the bonus was tempting, I actually decided to have a play without the free money. Too often recently I have hit good wins only to be denied a decent cashout because I had to meet wagering requirements. Of course, making this decision is a gamble in itself. I've also been in the situation where my deposit has gone in seconds and I have been sat kicking myself for not grabbing free money on offer!

Although in the past I have claimed not to be a huge slot player, more recently I've found myself doing OK on these mechanical beasts - so decided that I would begin my 777 Dragon Casino play in the slot part of the lobby and I have to say, what a slot selection 777 have! From games that have been around to years to bang up-to-date video slots, 777 really do have a great selection. A player really should be able to find the ideal game to suit them; whether it's a multi-million pound progressive to a video slot with a great bonus feature, the slot choice at 777 is staggering. What's more, Microgaming seems to roll out another 4 or 5 slots every few months!

I started my play on the Crazy Chameleons game, which whilst being classed as a video slot, is not like the newer additions Microgaming have made. Instead, this 5-reel, 5-payline game is a simple click and win type machine. The jackpot on this machine is a healthy 5000 coins, but unfortunately I came nowhere near winning this. Of course, there has to be losers for there to be winners but the highest I won was $20 on my $5 bet!

Deciding that this wasn't a great game to be playing, I decided to check out the astronomical slot. This is practically the most basic a slot game can be, but I quite like the simply approach on occasion. In fact, my decision to play this three-reel, one-payline slot soon turned out to be very wise when a double-up wild symbol fell on to the line completing my double-bar win. That meant my $55 bank balance was now $300 healthier!

I thought my luck was going to continue when very early on during my play on the relatively new Bulls Eye Slot I triggered the bonus round. Unfortunately, the feature wheel span right past the $1000 high-win to hit the lowest possible win of $20. Nevertheless, it was nice to have the heart racing for a while anyway!

Although I did very well on the slot games, I have to say that I would have enjoyed these games despite the results. The graphics used on the all slots at 777 Dragon are first class, and all the games I played were very entertaining. The new video-slot feature games in particular are really are something to see. Couple the great design and graphics with the sound effects and smooth game play and you really do feel like you are gaming at any of the top-notch land-based casinos.

With a decent bank balance now achieved, I decided to see how friendly the video poker games were going to be. As with the slots games, a huge number of video poker machines are playable at 777. Similarly, many multi-hand games are also available allowing gamblers to play 4, 10, 50 and even 100 hands at once. Of course, mutli-hand games can eat money fast, but if you get a winning hand on the initial deal, the winnings from 100 hands can be huge!

I started off my play on the 50-hand Aces and Faces game which awards huge pay off for four of a kind hands, particularly Aces! Just recently I've had some luck on this game, and so with a decent bank balance I decided to get $25 per go. Of course, this is not much really over 50 hands but can still result in some big payoffs! Unfortunately I didn't really get anything huge to shout about, although I did get one four-of-a-kind in 6's for a reasonably nice pay out.

I also tried some of the other games available, including the 100-hand double joker game, although I wasn't even able to win back my $50 bet on most of the games on this machine! Nevertheless, I still have great fun on these games - great graphics and nice sound effects again really enhanced the play. What's more, the auto-hold and 'expert' mode mean that players are ensured to get the best possible payoffs!

With my bank balance still looking decent I decided to finish my play on the table games - little did I know this would come back to bite me, but more of that later!

At 777 Dragon Casino every table game imaginable is available from classics such as Blackjack (in numerous varieties) to harder-to-find games such as Pai Gow Poker. In fact, it was Pai Gow that I chose to start on - I was enticed by the possibility of winning big on the side bets!

This game didn't make me rich, but didn't hurt my bank balance. As such I moved on. Unfortunately this wasn't a good move! I was actually going to try and round up my bank roll by playing some multi-hand Blackjack but in fact I ended up busting out! I was betting a total of $38 on 5 hands and I am truthful when I say in about 5 rounds I had not one single winning hand - the screenshot attached to this review shows a crazy 7-card 20 for the dealer! Of course, this happens from time to time but I was so annoyed to get such a bad luck run after doing so well!

Of course, I hadn't really lost too much on this occasion but it would have been nice to cash in the $300 - I guess that's what happens when you are greedy! I am just grateful that I was not betting more - multi-hand Blackjack accepts bets of up to $400 per spot. However, bettors looking to gamble thousands per hand will be disappointed here, although the 5x$400 at multi-hand BJ should satisfy most people!

As stated, I annoyingly ended up not having anything to cash in this time around, although I know that withdrawing is easy at all Vegas Partner properties. I have on occasion been asked to send fax documentation in, but usually withdrawals are processed within around 48-72 hours which is fine in my book.

Although I had no need to contact support during my play at 777 Dragon Casino, I did check out the support available. I discovered that as well as having email support and toll-free telephone numbers for over 15 countries, a live chat facility is also available. All in all this is very impressive and again shows why Vegas Partner casinos are considered of high standing in the online casino world.

In conclusion, I have to say I was very impressed with 777 Dragon Casino. A huge number of games are available and all are set against a cool oriental theme. Add to this the fact that the games available have all been created using first class graphics and sound and it really does make 777 a good place to play. Of course, banking and support are both important considerations when choosing a casino and at 777 there should be no concerns on these fronts! 777 Dragon is definitely recommended in my book!
