63-year-old accused of running a $57 million Internet sportsbetting ring
Details were still limited as Online-Casinos.com/InfoPowa went to press, but CBS is reporting the arraignment of central New York resident George Badigan (63) on Internet sportsbetting charges involving $57 million.
Badigan appeared before an Albany County Court Tuesday, accused of running a $57 million Internet sports betting ring from Syracuse to Albany. The indictment lists 25 counts of illegal gambling.
The District Attorney's office for Albany said that Badigan has been described as a 'gambling king pin' of Central New York, and that he ran the ring in this area alongside a Latham man.
