Craps Guide By Online-Casinos.com

If you're just looking for a quick lesson on the craps rules explained here on Online-Casinos.com, I have put together this quick guide to understanding craps for you.

Quick Guide to Craps

Everyone around the craps table can start by making a pass line bet or a don't pass bet before the first roll - this first roll is called the come out roll.

You will win your pass line bet instantly if the come out roll is 7 or 11 - but instantly lose if the result is 2, 3 or 12. If you do not instantly win or lose your pass line bet during the come out roll, this first roll will establish a point (number, digit). For you to win your pass line bet the shooter must now make additional rolls called point rolls. For you to win the shooter must roll the point once again - before rolling a 7. If the shooter rolls your point again you win and is paid odds 1-1. If he rolls a 7 before making the point you lose.

During the point rolls you can increase your total bet by place Odds Bets - the odds bets pay true odds and the casino have NO house advantage on these Odds bets.

Instead of a pass line bet you can place a don't pass bet. If the come out roll is a 2 or 3 you instantly win on your don't pass bet - if 12 is rolled it's a draw (Some casinos have substituted 12 with 2). If the come out roll is 7 or 11 you will instantly lose your don't pass bet. If you don't instantly win or lose your don't pass bet on the come out roll the come out roll will establish a point - and the shooter must now throw the dices again - these throws are called point rolls. If the shooter rolls a 7 before making the point again - you win your don't pass bet and is paid odds 1-1. If the shooter makes the point before rolling a 7 you lose your don't pass bet. During the point rolls you can increase your bet by adding Odds bets to your don't pass bet. The odds bet pay true odds and have no house advantage so this is a great bet for the players.

During the point rolls every craps player can make additional craps bets called - COME or Don't Come bets. These bets are practically 100% similar to the pass line and don't pass bets - but acts like an additional game within the game - the next roll when you have placed a Come bet acts as a come out roll for such a bet. If you don't instantly win or lose your Come or don't come bet - a come point will be established. The game then continues with point rolls - the come or don't come bets can be increased with Odds Bets similar to the odds bets you can make with the pass line bet or don't pass bet.

That is everything you need to know to play craps - I know there are more special craps bets - but you don't have to learn about that to play craps and be good at it.
